Hard disk problem with linux and windows [SOLVED]

Ok… I was trying to make my computer work these days ( very good ) and leave it like that because a new semester starts. It actually started today – 15 Feb 2010.

And you know what happened? I went there in the first class and my Ubuntu Karmic just couldn’t stop freezing and after some time giving me I/O Error message in the system console.
After 2 reboots and same error it began to be a ex4 error on sda6 (system” / “) sda7 ( my files ” /home ” )
I just freaked out because I reinstalled 2 or three days ago. but whatever. I reinstalled ubuntu on EXT3 because I thought there was a problem with the new filesystem and some errors may have occurred by using ntfs and ext4.
My harddisk: | ntfs 100mb | ntfs 30GB – win7 | linuxswap 4GB | ext4 – Ubuntu / – 10GB | ext4 – “/home” the rest |
changed and reinstalled the system not on EX4 but on EXT3.
same problem.

EDIT:
thinking: after I installed all the updates the problems occurred.
COULD IT BE THE NEW INSTALLATION OF GRUB? THE NEW VERSION? IT WAS STILL IN BETA 1.94 OR SMTH? :@
I couldn’t take it anymore and just installed windows 7 only!! to see if it was the MBR that was crashing or just the filesystems.
I’ve no idea what was the problem but now it works fine on windows 7, without giving me any errors. I don’t get it.
Just don’t get it. I’m too tired today to think about that. I just need a working computer for the semester. If that will be working fine with the development programs I’m going to use.
Then – FINE!
SOLVER EDIT:
I just bought a new harddrive 🙂 now i Have Seagate 320GB
The old WD 120GB is in my locker and still works only with Win7 – i don’t get it.
