Ubuntu Karmic Post Install Scripts

Some time ago I started building a script that will help me and guide me through all the customization and configuring after reinstalling my laptop.

I edited the scripts from the last time with new repositories and new packages.
I split the script into different files so I can perform different tasks in different time and configure and edit easier.
Here is the link to the folder I uploaded these scripts: http://anlazarov.free.bg/ubuntu_post_install/
Click here to be redirected to the link above.
I put a lot of comments there in the scripts so it is a good idea first to read them and then you can pick what you really need and run that particular part of the script.
The files are not that advanced and are easy to read. Even I don’t just run them. I see what is there and pick what I need. That’s how I create the new script -> I always check the old one before running it 🙂
EDIT:
It will be easier if I give you the public address to the 3 script files for the post install. ( Repository, Install, Settings ) All these are in my Dropbox folder.

  1. Setup the repository: 1_adding_to_repository.sh
  2. Installing packages: 2_ubuntu_post_install.sh
  3. Some post settings: 3_configure_apache_phpmyadmin.sh
I won’t change the names of the scripts so, enjoy using them 🙂 You should have the latest version all the time now.
Enjoy Ubuntu!
