Night life

There are many great bars, clubs and restaurants in Porto, Gaia and Matosinhos. One thing to remember is that the pubs aren’t the usual pubs I know. First of all, people go out much later ( like 22:00 ) and then party until the morning. I don’t know how they cope with morning classes, but anyway. Second of all, the pubs do not look the same way. They are more like cafeterias, but with a nice company it is always fun! People also like to grab a beer and go out, on the street. Drink and smoke there, party there. Not inside. Well, the when the weather allows it.

PIOLHO
This is the Erasmus students meeting spot. in town. Everybody meets there, and if they are too lazy to go somewhere else – just drink there. The beer is 1.30eur. Of course, it is more like a cafeteria, or snack bar, I’m not sure, because they also have a pretty big menu with meals. There is no music. But for an Erasmus student the beers works just fine 🙂

That bar is just awesome. The music is great. Rock music, old school rock, new rock. Bands and songs that have a lot of energy! Beer is 1.50eur. The DJs place is in a half a mini cooper 😀

Cheapest beer ever. 0.50eur. And a place in the back to sit down and relax 😀

TABERNINHA DO MANEL
Great service! Happy hours. Great beer. Cooking also is really good. The waiter is a really nice guy. A place you want to spend some time and enjoy the service, drinks, meals and VIEW of Porto!

RIBEIRA
Not a bar not a club. It is just the coast of Porto. There are many restaurants and bars. Just go there and explore. There are many people on Mondays because there are promotions! Buy one – get two! No matter what you buy!
