First connections in Porto that I made (I just had to, plus I was getting bored) were of course first on Facebook :P. I exclude the flatmates (that left 1 day after I arrived) and the landlord. I found a friend by the name of Sam, on Erasmus Students in Porto group on Facebook. He lived on my new place’s couch for some time and I really I appreciated the company. We went around town and some bars together, also the usual stuff you need to do when you go to a foreign country and intend to live there for more than 2 months. New SIM Card, bank account, local student associations and he also had to find a place to live. I think here is the moment to say one big THANK YOU! to ESN Porto (The Erasmus Student Network in Porto). These guys were very helpful and have really good parties organized!
They also organize surfing courses for Erasmus students which Sam and I took of course 😀
