Upon Arrival

6. February.

I woke up around 6am. The day started with a coffee at my uncle’s place. Great coffee by the way. Took the metro to Barcelona Airport (BCN). Ryanair wanted me to remove some luggage again, because it was 21kg not 20. Anyways, it was all good. The flight was alright, and when I landed in Porto it was around 11:30 local time.

Meanwhile, I had planned how to go to the place I was going to live. My landlord to be was very helpful and told me exactly how to find the place and how to settle. Of course I didn’t quite take his remark and I had to walk a bit more than expected (also with the help of a map and a helpful lady in a random shop I entered).

The weather was great! It was about 20 degrees and the sun was shining so hard I had to change at the Airport, because it was too hot for me.

I went to the place and Gonzalo, one Spanish guy gave me the keys for the apartment and then Carlita and he just left the place. I called everybody I could on Skype and then went to bed, because I was soooo tired.

After I woke up, few hours later I was so confused where I am and what is going on. No panicking at all, just went out to find the local store to have dinner. Had a great meal for a really reasonable price plus the beers and others. It all cost around 11eur, which compared to the prices I am used to, was really good.

End of day 1.
