Ubuntu Karmic Koala reinstallation

Interesting thing about the Koala is that the first time I tried to install it when I chose ” Install Ubuntu ” from the boot menu it started the live cd, but with some very baaad icons and errors.

I had to reinstall last night 🙁
Why?

Because after an upgrade, I think, something went wrong with my video driver.
I have Ati Radeon x1200 video card, and the drivers were ok when I installed the first time. I’ve no idea what happened.
I couldn’t use Compiz effects: it said: No drivers found. Or something like that.
I couldn’t watch videos in fullscreen mode because the lagggg was insane!

Actually some other bad thing were there, like a lot of bugs with different packages, sooo i reinstalled , upgraded and now everything seems to be ok. :))

Additional things I did:
I reformatted my big partition for data from ext4 to ext3 , because I wanted to be able to use the partition from Windows ( I have Windows 7 Professional ).

Ubuntu system partition stayed ext4. Why the hell not? 😀
